Miscellaneous Monday: Ordnance Survey

Ordnance Survey (OS) mapping service has used lasers deployed from air and land to create an extremely detailed 3D map of the UK resort city Bournemouth, in the county of Dorset.  OS claims the map is the most detailed map ever produced, surpassing 3D offerings from names like Google Earth and Microsoft Visual Earth.  The company plans to expand its 3D mapping to the rest of the UK in the next several years.
